one week old and "smallism"

hey hey, happy birthday to me. one week and going strong!

second visit to the doc today. on this one week birthday i'm happy to report, i'm eating well and even taking the boob once in awhile (though that's still a source of stress for mom), i'd be sleeping much better if mom and dad didn't keep waking me up every 2.5 hours (but otherwise i'm ok on that front too) and i'm gaining weight (doc says i'm up to 5lbs 6 ounces . . . only three more ounces until my birthweight - whoohoo).

however, i'm very frustrated because doc is holding back my natural social inclinations. it's smallism. smallism is the natural bias against those who are small. doc says i'm small . . . well, no duh . . . wonder if she had to go to an extra 8 years of training for that one.

as a result, there are a bunch of rules. one is that mom and dad have to dutifully study every poo (i tell you, they are obsessed. they log every inner movement i have. it's perfect for mom, because she's so type-a anyways it gives her something to obsess about).

i won't bore you with all the rules, but the worst part is the doc tells me i'm supposed to limit my visitors because if i get sick i'm in deep doo doo. she says i especially can't see other little people and semi-little people because they are "germ carriers." she's definitely smallist.

so many rules even though doc says i'm perfectly healthy. i liked it better in the belly when i ruled my own roost!
